Annabelle Hydrangea

These smooth leaf hydrangeas have the classic white globe blooms in the spring, maintained throughout the summer. They tolerate Missouri winters and full sun (although late-afternoon shade is preferable), returning year after year. They bloom on new growth, able to be heavily pruned each year to maintain shape. They grow 3-6 feet tall, with a rounded habit. 1 and 2 year plants available.

French Hydrangea

French Hydrangeas are in the Big-leaf Hydrangea family. They have deep green, thick foliage with beautiful pink flower clusters that bloom early and maintain through the summer. They need morning sun and afternoon shade. These hydrangeas bloom on old wood, so prune immediately after flowering ends , when necessary, They can grow up to 5 ft x 5 ft. 1 year plants.

Oakleaf Hydrangea

Oakleaf Hydrangeas have a distinct oak leaf shaped foliage. They prefer morning sun and afternoon shade. They display white cone-shaped flower clusters, spring through summer. These hydrangeas bloom on old wood, so prune immediately after blooming ends, when necessary. Oakleaf Hydrangeas have an upright shape, growing 6-8 ft tall and 3-4 ft wide. 1 year plants.

Crepe Myrtle- Red

A beautiful bush with dark green foliage and deep red flower clusters. Bees love them. They will grow up to 8 foot tall in a bush shape, but cold Missouri winters prohibit these crepe myrtles from growing into a tree shape. Trim dead wood in the spring, and shape to fit your space. 1 year plants.

Purple Heart

These drought resistant, long, trailing stemmed plants have a striking purple appearance , with purple-ish pink flowers. They die back over the winter, returning again in the spring. The colors provide a beautiful contrast in the garden.

Dahlias

Monarda: “Bee Balm”

SPOTTED BEE BALM: A lovely Monarda with pagoda-style blooms that pollinators love. The flowers are usually yellow with maroon splashes, but the powdery pink leaf-like bracts are the real show! Deer resistant and low-maintenance. Often blooms first year.
PANORAMA RED BEE BALM: Striking scarlet blooms will becon pollinators and other beneficial bugs to your garden. They grow in clumps, 30 inches tall. It blooms in the second year.
Bergamo Bee Balm: Second-year blooming perennial, extremely attractive to pollinators. Rose-plum colored flower spikes, more refined than other types of Monarda. 2-3 foot plants are easy to grow, blooming all summer long. This is a favorite scented and ornamental herb, great for tea.

White Yarrow Flower:

North American native, hardy in zones 3-9. Thrives in full-sun, although it tolerates partial shade. Prefers well-drained soil. It grows 1-3 foot tall and has flat-topped, fragrant clusters of small white to pink flowers that bloom in the summer. This plant spreads via rhizomes and can take over if conditions allow. Attractive to pollinators.

ASTER:

GALA CARMINE ROSE: These big, showy blooms are real show stoppers! The double flowers, with pincushion petals, grow 4 inches across on long, strong stems. China Asters love rich, well-drained , but moist soil, and full sun to part shade. They are great for drawing pollinators.
VALKYRIE YELLOW: A pastel yellow bloom, 3 1/2 – 5 inch, ray-type blooms, growing 2 feet tall. Perfect for cutting. These asters will add a delightful charm to your garden.

GAILLARDIA:

DOUBLE SUNSET GAILLARDIA: A North American wildflower that is equally at home in your garden. The blooms have quilled double petals, in fabulous mixed colors. Heat tolerant and pollinator friendly. Great for cut flowers.

THYME:

MAGIC CARPET THYME: This 1-2 inch sub-shrub with pink flowers is rugged and drought tolerant. When stepped on, it emits a wonderful fragrance! Blooming early to mid-summer, it attracts butterflies!

Dianthus Sweet William Pinks Flower

Sweet William: An old European flower that is loved around the world for it’s lovely blooms that are pinks, reds and white. A wonderful addition to any garden because it attracts butterflies and makes wonderful cut flowers. It reseeds and spreads.
